Pastor Kathy was born and raised in Westminster, MD. She graduated from Penn State University in 2001 with a B.S. degree in Microbiology and a minor in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. During her later years in college she wrestled with God over His call for her to go into ministry. God won that wrestling match and she enrolled at The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree in 2006. Her first call was at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Moorhead, MN where she served as associate pastor for nearly four years. Her second call was to East Immanuel Lutheran Church in Amery, WI where she served as pastor for over eleven years. Pastor Kathy begins her call with us in November 2021.
Pastor Kathy and her husband, Dan, married in 2003. Dan is also a pastor serving with the North American Lutheran Church. Pastor Kathy and Dan have an adult son, Zach, who lives in Baltimore, MD, and a Goldendoodle, Barclay, who keeps them active. In her free time Pastor Kathy enjoys hiking, cooking, reading, and watching a good movie.
